Medical Director rounds weekly. The MD rounds to all residents needing care each week including all new admissions within 5 days of admit. The Medical Director reviews all nurse notes and meets with the Nurse Practitioner for resident updates and care planning.
Nurse Practitioner rounds 1-2 times per week. The NP reviews labs, x-rays, visits residents in real time to provide medical care as needed, visits all new admissions within 24 hours and reports findings to the Medical Director.
Wound Care Physician rounds weekly. Our Wound Care physician partnership enhances our wound care program by providing regular treatment and oversight for resident wound needs.

These specialists come to Lee’s Summit Place and provide direct care in our residents’ home ensuring a comfortable location and ease of access to care.
Lee’s Summit also offers hospice services with a provider of choice for residents. Hospice teams deliver patient-centered care with a wide range of supportive services, including music therapy, massage therapy, chaplain services, end-stage dementia support, and sensory interventions such as weighted teddy bears or stress balls to promote comfort. In addition, hospice partners provide ongoing hospice education and bereavement services for both staff and residents, supporting the community before, during, and after end-of-life care.
